Fatty 1 – The first week.

What is this? My 7,324 attempt at losing weight and reaching my ideal body weight. I always have good intentions, but it is the follow through that I have problems with. The endurance if you will to see through the long haul to the finish line.
I bought a bottle of tea the other day, of which this particular brand puts little inspirational sayings in the lid. It said, be like a postage stamp; stick to one thing until you get there. So here I am trying to stick to my little envelope of eating right and exercising.
I sort of don’t want to list out my grand goals, and list out my detailed plan, because I have done that before (many times) and I haven’t met my goals, or stuck to my plan. I will only list short term goals for the week.
My goal for the last week was to not eat junk food and workout every day somehow. I went to the store and bought a bunch of fruit and vegetables. I through all the vegetables into the food processor and chopped them up small. I don’t like vegetables much (which might explain my need to lose weight), and I find them more palatable when they are small and unrecognizable.
I try to put my chopped up vegetables in everything that might rightly contain vegetables. They go in my EggBeater omelet in the morning. They go in my turkey salsa wrap for lunch. They go in my stir fry, or my spaghetti sauce, or whatever for dinner.
I also bought a bunch of frozen fruit that I have been making smoothies out of for my post workout Breakfast No. 1. A little frozen fruit, a little protein powder, a little plain yogurt, and some water, blend away, and voila.
I have been trying to stay away from processed foods, so other than two Hot Pocket lapses I managed to do that. And I managed to stay away from the obvious junk foods. As long as you don’t count sour cream as junk food.
My dessert has become a bowl of cereal at night instead of half a pint of Chocolate Peanut Butter Haagen-Dazs. No it’s not as good, but do I loves me cereal, so it works (for now).
Oh and I worked out. I didn’t make it every day, but I made it most days.
So for my grade for the week I would have to give myself a solid B. The scale gave me a pound and a half off, and I am happy with that.
Next week’s goals: Repeat this week.
